Boris Johnson Became A Father Again Two Weeks After Discharge from Hospital
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has become a father again. His fiancé Carrie Symonds gave birth to a baby boy, British media reports.
Mother and child are doing well. “The Prime Minister and Ms Symonds are delighted to announce this morning the birth of a healthy baby boy in a London hospital.
The Prime Minister would like to thank the fantastic medical team,” said a Johnson spokesman.
The birth of his child is a bright spot in a somewhat more challenging period for Johnson. The prime minister was in intensive care for three days because of complications from a corona infection.
The 55-year-old British leader had a high fever and received oxygen support. Two weeks ago, he was allowed to leave the hospital.
Friends of the Prime Minister told British media that he was close to death when he fought the coronavirus in the hospital. At one point, the situation was so severe that ministers, officials and his friends prayed for him.
Johnson recovered through the excellent care of doctors and nurses. “I owe my life to them. I cannot thank them enough,” said the Prime Minister.
Johnson already has several children with his ex-wife, Marina Wheeler.
Earlier this month, the Prime Minister extensively complimented the UK health service after his recovery. “The NHS saved my life. No doubt about it. “
