Done with Public War: Kanye West and Drake Bury Hatchet to Free Notorious Mobster Boss
It never really worked out between Kanye West, the American rapper and producer, and the Canadian rapper Drake. Since 2008, the two world stars, who have both sold millions of records, have been in constant conflict. Their feud began in 2008 when Kanye collaborated on a song critical of Pusha T’s Drake, after which the two waged a public war on social media.
It slowly faded, but in the past two years, the two have shifted up a gear. It even came to mutual threats against children, so that Kim Kardashian (Kanye’s ex-wife, ed.) even intervened. The fans feasted on the feud, and increasingly two clear camps arose. Being a fan of both is a mortal sin, so say the supporters themselves.
And yet, that feud has come to an end after thirteen years. This is proven by photos that both rappers shared on Instagram and a video of Kanye West in his story on Instagram. As well, a week after Kanye called on Drake to give a benefit concert together in December and therefore already makeup, the Canadian appears to have invited the former US presidential candidate to his impressive home in Toronto.
At that concert, the two, together with J Prince, will argue for the release of Larry Hoover. He is a notorious Chicago criminal who has been serving six life sentences since 1973 for, among other things, murder, conspiracy, extortion, fraud and leading a criminal group out of prison.
Not a choirboy, but according to more and more Americans, he is someone who has paid enough for his crimes in the meantime. Kanye West, not coincidentally a close friend of Larry Hoover Jr., had even asked then-President Donald Trump to pardon Hoover in 2018. Trump did not comment at the time. So now Drake joins the movement for Hoover’s release.
