Republican Senator: Evidence Against Trump Pretty Damaging

Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski trusts that the evidence offered so far in the impeachment case against her fellow party member and former President Donald Trump “is causing him considerable damage.”

Her party colleague Mitt Romney was also impressed by the presentation of the Democratic prosecutors on Wednesday, on the second day of the impeachment process. Previous images of the storming of the Capitol were shown.

“Emotional and deeply disturbing,” he said after seeing the footage showing him being led away from the Capitol by an employee just before the crowd stormed in. Romney said he had no idea the crowd was on his heels.

The prosecutors and the defence are each given sixteen hours to plead their case. Democratic Congressman Jamie Raskin took the lead, accusing Trump of renouncing his presidential duties.
