Retired King Juan Carlos Cancels Visit to Spain

Retired Spanish King Juan Carlos has cancelled his second visit to Spain.

According to Spanish media, Juan Carlos was due to return this month from the United Arab Emirates for a sailing event, but the trip has now been cancelled for “private reasons”.

King Felipe’s father was back in Spain last month after almost two years. At the palace in Madrid, he had a meeting with his family.

Juan Carlos (84) left for the United Arab Emirates in 2020 after being discredited over unclear financial transactions.
