According to the Truss cabinet, the minister was not fired, but she herself resigned. British media confirmed that. It is not yet clear why she is leaving.

The departure of Braverman, one of the key figures in her government, is another blow to Liz Truss, 47, who has been Prime Minister for only six weeks. She’s been tipsy wildly since her 180-degree turn in tax policy. This was seen as inevitable after the unfunded tax cuts sparked serious turmoil in the financial markets. So she fired her finance minister Kwasi Kwarteng and replaced him with Jeremy Hunt. As a result, her popularity is well below freezing.
