No Coronavirus Deaths in New York for the First Time in Months
For the first time in almost 4 months, no corona deaths have occurred in the American city of New York.
Health officials announced that on Sunday. On March 11, the first person died in the metropolis, and since March 13, not a day passed without someone dying from the lung virus.
The good news from the metropolis contrasts sharply with how the coronavirus spreads in many other parts of the US. Florida reported more than 15,000 cases of contamination on Sunday.
That’s the highest number in a day registered for a state, breaking the record set in New York in April. The number of corona infections is also increasing rapidly in other states such as Texas.
Governor Andrew Cuomo has offered advice, fans, masks, protective clothing, and medicines to states where the virus is making many victims. Some health professionals go to other states to help fight the virus.
Travellers from more than a dozen states who come to New York must be quarantined for 14 days. Residents of the state are still urged to wear face masks and maintain social distance.
