Russian President Putin Vaccinated Against Corona
Russian President Vladimir Putin was vaccinated against Covid-19 on Tuesday, Russian news agency RIA reports.
It has not been disclosed which vaccine he was vaccinated with, but it is at least a Russian-made drug.
A spokesman said in a first reaction that the 68-year-old Putin felt well after the vaccination and will go back to work the next day.
The Kremlin deliberately does not disclose the name of the vaccine “because all three Russian vaccines are reliable and effective.”
Sputnik-V is currently the best known of the three vaccines from Russia. This medicine is also administered in other countries.
In addition, Sputnik-V is being evaluated by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) through an accelerated procedure.
