Trump Urged Georgia to Change the Result in His Favour

President Donald Trump on Saturday urged a senior election official in the state of Georgia to “find” enough votes to declare him the winner in the state.

The Washington Post writes that on Sunday based on a recording of the telephone conversation that Trump had with the Secretary of the Interior of Georgia, Brad Raffensperger.

Trump tried by flattering, pleading and finally by threats with criminal consequences to persuade his party member to undo his defeat against Joe Biden.

The Democrat beat Trump in swing state Georgia after two recounts, which Raffensperger said were “fair and accurate,” he told the president in their hour-long phone call.

Trump has been claiming for weeks that his defeat is due to widespread electoral fraud, without providing any evidence. “I cannot have lost Georgia,” Trump said several times in the telephone conversation.

“We won by hundreds of thousands of votes.”
