North Korea Fires Missiles Again

North Korea has fired two missiles, South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said. The military is now investigating exactly what kind of projectiles they were, but it appears to be cruise missiles.

It would be North Korea’s fifth missile test in 2022. However, since 2019, the country has not made that many rockets launch in a short period of time.

Negotiations between North Korea on the one hand and South Korea and the US on the other have stalled.

Unlike ballistic missile testing, cruise missile testing is not covered by United Nations sanctions on North Korea. Last week, North Korea flouted the test ban by testing ballistic missiles.
