China: Countermeasures in Foreign Interference Hong Kong

China: Countermeasures in Foreign Interference Hong Kong

China will take the necessary countermeasures against foreign interference in the new security legislation in Hong Kong. That said the Chinese foreign ministry on Wednesday.

The ministry spokesman responded to a threat from US President Trump.

He said Tuesday to consider sanctions against companies or officials from China because that country wants to increase its grip on the autonomous region of Hong Kong.

The new legislation in Hong Kong will be announced before the end of the week.

With the security law, China wants to make it possible to deploy Chinese security services in Hong Kong, among other things.

The United States and other countries reacted angrily to the proposal.

The new law would put an end to civil liberties in the city-state, which is more significant than in China itself.
