Clinton: Biden Shouldn’t Back Down in Photo-Finish Elections

Hillary Clinton, who lost to Donald Trump in the previous US presidential election in 2016, says current Democratic candidate Joe Biden should not admit his loss until the final vote is counted if the election turns into a neck-and-neck race.

Clinton takes into account that due to the many postal votes, it can take a long time until all votes have been counted.

“Under no circumstances should Joe Biden give in because I think this is going to end, and in the end, I think he will win if we don’t give up an inch of ground and are as focused and tireless as the opponent,” Clinton said in a television interview.

Clinton got 3 million more votes than Trump in 2016 but lost the election because she won a lower number of electors than the Republican.

The former secretary of state and former first lady thinks the Republicans will hope to win the election based on the votes submitted on the day at polling stations. According to Clinton, they will not be inclined to wait for all postal votes to be counted.

Clinton’s comments follow warnings from both the Democratic and Republican sides that the outcome of the Nov. 3 election is unlikely to be there by night.

According to Clinton, the Republicans hope for chaos around the votes that were not personally cast at the polling stations. Clinton says her party must be ready to launch a “massive legal operation.”
