The Popular Video Conferencing Tool Zoom Down in the US and Europe

The popular video conferencing tool Zoom had problems for hours yesterday. That was a problem, especially in American schools.

 

The breakdown started around 2 pm EU time on Monday afternoon. By 7 pm, the issues were resolved for most users.

According to Downdetector mainly had users in the US, Canada and parts of Europe.

Users found that they could not start or login to Zoom Meetings or Webinars. Zoom itself confirms the problem, although it gives little extra explanation about the cause of the breakdown.

Zoom became a popular online meeting tool due to the corona crisis.

Although the breakdown mainly had an impact on education in the US, where classes have now started, remote students could not log in on Monday morning.
