Slack Wants to Collaborate With Microsoft Teams. Users of both collaboration services should be able to call each other. That’s what Slack’s CEO said.
Stewart Butterfield reported his plans to integrate with Teams in an interview with analysts, reports US news channel CNBC. Like Microsoft Teams, Slack is collaboration software that is booming in these quarantine days.
Microsoft announced early this month that it has 44 million daily users, Slack recorded a record 12.5 concurrent users at the end of March.
Slack already has support for Microsoft services such as Onedrive, Outlook and Sharepoint. However, it built it with APIs that Microsoft publicly opens.
So there was no need for effective collaboration with Microsoft. It is not clear how integration with Teams should be done, and when it will be completed.
