Ukrainian Governor: Dozens Killed in Russian Attack

Russian shelling has killed 21 people in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region, Governor Valentin Reznichenko said. Several dozen people were injured in the attack from Tuesday to Wednesday night.

 

The governor announced via Telegram that in the port city of Nikopol, thirteen were injured in addition to eleven dead. Ten people died in Marhanets, Reznichenko reports.

He writes that seven of the eleven injured in this city are in serious condition. The governor speaks of a “tragic night.”

The Russian army is said to have fired dozens of rockets into residential areas. According to the governor, several buildings have been damaged or destroyed. Dnipropetrovsk is located in the eastern half of Ukraine and borders the regions of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhya.
