White House Calls Openness Harry and Meghan Brave
The White House praises Prince Harry and his wife Meghan’s courage to speak openly about mental health issues.
Commenting on Oprah Winfrey’s interview with the famous couple, a spokeswoman said discussing mental health issues is courageous.
It takes courage for anyone “who steps forward and speaks about their own struggles with mental health and tells their personal story,” said the spokeswoman.
TV personality Oprah’s high-profile interview with Harry and Meghan drew about 17.1 million viewers in the United States, reports the American broadcaster CBS, which aired the conversation Sunday evening.
This makes it one of the most significant TV events in over a year. Only the Super Bowl sports game (around 100 million viewers) and the Oscar film awards (23.6 million viewers) in February 2020 fared better.
