Worldwide More Than 2.5 Million Deaths From the Corona Pandemic

Worldwide, more than 2.5 million people have died of the virus since the start of the corona pandemic, according to figures from the American University Johns Hopkins.

 

The 1 million marks were passed at the end of September, and the 2 million mark on January 15. The virus surfaced in China at the end of 2019. At the end of June, half a million people had died as a result of Covid-19.

The most victims (506,500) were in the United States, followed by Brazil (250,000), Mexico (183,000) and India (156,000).

In fifth and sixth place in the United Kingdom, with more than 122,000 deaths and Italy (97,000). France and Russia will follow.

Worldwide, more than 112 million corona infections have been diagnosed, of which a quarter in the US.
