The number of people who have died worldwide as a result of the coronavirus has passed the 1.5 million mark.
The virus emerged in China at the end of last year and then spread around the world.
Half a million people had died from Covid-19 by the end of June and a million by the end of September.
The most victims (almost 275,000) were in the United States, followed by Brazil (more than 175,000), India (140,000) and Mexico (108,000).
Most infections have also been found in the US: almost 14 million. India, Brazil and Russia will follow.
