Nearly 500 New Corona Deaths in the Uk

In the past 24 hours, 494 people have died from the new coronavirus in the UK. That reports the Ministry of Health.

 

In total, 33,186 people succumbed to the virus in the country.

The UK only counts the deaths in hospitals and care homes. If other suspected deaths are added, the death toll is above 40,000.

The number of new infections increased by 3,242 to 229,705.

The country has the highest death toll in Europe. The number of infections is the highest in Europe after Spain.

Earlier Wednesday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said 175 health workers died from the virus.
